Carbon Footprint Certification

LST Receives Recognitions at the 100 Hearts Effort to Reduce Global Warming Event for Greenhouse Gas Management September 19, 2018

On 19 September 2018, Lam Soon (Thailand) Public Company Limited was granted Carbon Footprint Certification for products under the "Yok", "Yok Extra" and "Naturel" brands at the 100 Hearts Effort to Reduce Global Warming Event which organized by Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) or TGO at Centara Grand Hotel at Central Plaza Ladprao, Bangkok. The event aims to promote low carbon footprint activities and mitigate global warming issues in Thailand through encouraging participation and recognizing organizations that are taking proactive and effective measures.


LST was represented by Mr. Nattapong Mathakun, Plant Manager. The awards was presented by General Surasak Karnjanarat, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment


Nowadays, global climate is different from the past due to the current rise in global temperatures. One of the most important is carbon dioxide (CO2), which we release into the atmosphere when we burn fossil fuels — oil, coal fire, and natural gas including chemicals usage . As a consequence, the earth steadily warm up in response and global warming has serious problem for our health, environment, and economy.


LST places important for such problems with the environment by developing products to generate lower greenhouse gas emission by calculating from product life cycle such as material acquisition, transportation, component assembly, usage and disposal of post-consumer products.


This award is another step in reaffirming its leadership in the palm oil business along with our commitment to be a part of Thailand's push toward a low-carbon economy and society with its eco-efficient operation for our sustainable development
